FAQs
I have some questions before starting therapy. Do you offer consultations?
Absolutely! Any prospective client is able and encouraged to book a free 20 minute consultation with me before starting. Consultations are a perfect opportunity to get to know each other and for you to briefly present your issue.
What is your treatment approach?
I bring a positive approach to therapy and incorporate principles of Psychodynamic Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in my work.
What can I expect when I start therapy?
My goal is to help you feel as comfortable and natural as possible while we work together. You can expect a conversational style to sessions where we build our therapeutic relationship while identifying and understanding your presented issues. As our work progresses, sessions will begin to take on a life of their own and this is where the majority of our work is done.
What are the fees for therapy?
Individual sessions are 50min in duration and $150
Couple and family therapy sessions are 75min in duration and $225
*If you need help but have questions about the fees, please contact me.
Is psychotherapy covered by insurance?
More often than not, insurance companies provide coverage for psychotherapy services. While I do not offer direct billing, I will provide you with detailed invoices containing any information your insurance provider requires for you to submit a claim.
What kinds of issues can you help with?
